Polling stations closed on Saturday in the Czech Republic, where voters cast ballots in municipal elections and a vote for one-third of the Senate, according to Radio Prague.
Nearly 190,000 candidates competed for about 62,000 seats on local councils. Another 154 candidates contested 27 seats in the upper house of parliament.
Initial results are expected late Saturday, while complete results are due early Sunday.
A second round of Senate elections is scheduled for next weekend.
