The composition of the board of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been expanded following an official decree. According to Operative Information Center-OMM, the change was reflected in an amendment to the decree "On approval of the composition of the board of the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Azerbaijan" signed by President Ilham Aliyev.
Under the new decree, the Head of the Apparatus of the State Customs Committee has been officially added to the board's membership. This structural adjustment aims to streamline the decision-making process within the committee and ensure more effective coordination between the executive leadership and the administrative apparatus of the customs body.
The State Customs Committee is a central executive authority responsible for implementing state policy in the field of customs affairs, ensuring the economic sovereignty and security of Azerbaijan. The board of the committee serves as a collective decision-making body that discusses strategic development, regulatory frameworks, and the modernization of customs infrastructure to facilitate international trade and border security.
