Say Sam Al, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction of the Kingdom of Cambodia, arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan on May 16 to participate in the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the guest was welcomed at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport by official representatives of Azerbaijan. The visit underscores the growing international interest in Baku as a hub for global diplomatic and urban development discussions.
The World Urban Forum, established by the United Nations, is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization. Held biennially, the forum examines the most pressing issues facing the world today, including rapid urbanization and its impact on communities, cities, economies, and climate change. By hosting such high-level international events, Azerbaijan continues to strengthen its role as a platform for multilateral cooperation and sustainable development initiatives in the region.
