Bence Varkonyi: Qarabag played one of its best league games

Hungarian Qarabag defender Bence Varkonyi has commented on his team’s 3-3 match against Neftchi in the eighth round of the Misli Premier League.

He said that despite conceding three goals, Qarabag had played one of its best games in the league. Varkonyi said Qarabag ultimately achieved its aim, but should be pleased to take a point after conceding easily avoidable goals.

“I think we played one of our best games in the league. At the same time, we need to work on our mistakes to avoid conceding goals like these. We should be satisfied with the result,” the defender said.

Varkonyi also discussed the away match against Sabah in the next round. He noted that the opponent is also competing in the Champions League and has a demanding schedule on two fronts, adding: “We’ll see if we can win.”
