Direct flights between Belgrade and Baku will be launched in the near future to further strengthen bilateral ties, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic announced.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Vucic made these remarks during the first meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Serbia held in Belgrade, which was attended by President Ilham Aliyev.
"In the near future, we will open direct flights between Belgrade and Baku, and the contacts between us will be much more frequent compared to previous periods," Aleksandar Vucic stated, emphasizing the growing cooperation between the two nations.
The establishment of a direct air link is expected to significantly boost tourism, business exchanges, and diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia. This initiative follows a series of high-level meetings aimed at deepening the strategic partnership, which covers key sectors including energy, infrastructure, and trade. Both Baku and Belgrade have consistently supported each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, forming a solid foundation for expanded economic and transport connectivity in the Balkan and Caspian regions.
