Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan are planning to meet in New York on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Mirzoyan made the remarks in response to a question from Radio Liberty.
“We are planning to meet in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session. There is no final agreement yet, as it depends on the schedules,” Mirzoyan said.
The 81st session of the UN General Assembly began on September 8 at the United Nations headquarters in New York. The high-level week, during which heads of state and government are scheduled to address the assembly, will begin on September 22. The General Assembly session traditionally provides an opportunity for officials to hold bilateral meetings and discuss regional and international issues.
