Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has been extended for another two years.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev thanked member states for the decision at the 7th CICA Summit in Baku:
“I thank the member states for supporting the proposal to extend Azerbaijan’s chairmanship of CICA for another two years.”
CICA is a regional forum that brings together Asian countries to promote cooperation and confidence-building measures. Its member states address issues including security, economic cooperation and cultural ties.
