Azerbaijani athletes took first place at the ninth International Altın Kanca Surfcasting Tournament in Mersin, Türkiye.
The competition was held from October 2 to 4. Chingiz Ganiyev and Najaf Gurbanov, representing the Baku Fishing Club, won the international title.
The Azerbaijani competitors finished ahead of opponents from Northern Cyprus, Tunisia, Greece and Morocco.
Ganiyev and Gurbanov took part in the tournament with the support of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation.
