Weather conditions in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula on February 12 are expected to be changeably cloudy and occasionally gloomy, but primarily dry, according to the national forecast.

Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the National Hydrometeorological Service issued a statement regarding the upcoming weather patterns. It was noted that there is a possibility of light drizzle in some suburban areas during the night, with a southwest wind prevailing throughout the day.

The air temperature in the capital will range from 0-2°C at night to 6-9°C during the day. Atmospheric pressure will stand at 760 mm Hg, while relative humidity is expected to be 70-75% at night and 60-65% during the day. In the regions of Azerbaijan, weather conditions will remain mostly dry; however, short-term precipitation is possible in some areas during the day, with snow expected in mountainous regions. Fog is anticipated in various locations, accompanied by a moderate west wind.

Regional temperatures are forecasted to be between 3°C frost and 2°C heat at night, reaching 7-12°C during the day. In the mountains, temperatures will drop to 5-10°C frost at night (reaching 10-15°C frost in high-altitude areas) and 0-5°C frost during the day. Due to the freezing temperatures, roads may become icy in some mountainous and foothill districts during the night and morning hours.

The National Hydrometeorological Service of Azerbaijan regularly monitors atmospheric conditions to provide timely updates for the public and relevant state agencies. Such seasonal fluctuations are typical for the Caspian region in February, where the transition between air masses often results in localized fog and varying temperature gradients between the coastal lowlands and the Greater and Lesser Caucasus mountain ranges.
