Pensions for March will be paid ahead of schedule in Azerbaijan in connection with the upcoming Novruz holiday.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the full payment of pensions is expected to be completed by March 15. Relevant instructions have been issued to the appropriate authorities to ensure the timely distribution of funds.
Work is currently underway to facilitate the early transfer of social security payments, moving the traditional schedule forward to ensure citizens receive their entitlements before the holiday festivities begin. This initiative aims to support the financial well-being of pensioners during one of the country's most significant national celebrations.
Novruz, which marks the arrival of spring and the Persian New Year, is a major public holiday in Azerbaijan. Traditionally celebrated in late March, the holiday involves extensive preparations and family gatherings, leading the government to frequently adjust payment schedules for social benefits and salaries to accommodate increased household spending during this period.
