Azerbaijan’s futsal team will play its first match in the main round of the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2028 qualifiers today, facing Czechia away.
The match will be held at Hala Polarka Sports Arena in Frýdek-Místek and will start at 22:00 Baku time.
The referees will be Peter Nurse of England, Valentin Siuplea of Wales and Duncan McLullich of Scotland.
Azerbaijan are in Group 12 alongside Czechia and Latvia. The match against Czechia will be the team’s first in the group stage.
The FIFA Futsal World Cup is the sport’s international championship for national teams, organised by FIFA. The qualifying campaign determines which teams advance to the final tournament.
