Azerbaijan plans to carry out construction work on 68 projects with a total length of 3,878.1 km in its liberated territories, marking a significant milestone in the regional reconstruction efforts.

The State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads (AAYDA) informed Operative Information Center-OMM that construction work is currently underway on 38 projects covering a total distance of 2,432.8 km across the liberated regions.

"The plans include the construction of 48 tunnels with a total length of 71.2 km, of which seven tunnels spanning 13.6 km have already been completed. Furthermore, work continues on 41 tunnels with a total length of 57.6 km," the agency stated. According to the report, the infrastructure drive in Garabagh and East Zangazur also involves the construction of 447 bridges totaling 9,581.6 meters, with 392 bridges already finished. Additionally, nine out of 16 planned viaducts have been completed.

These infrastructure initiatives are part of the "Great Return" program, a strategic national priority aimed at the comprehensive restoration of territories liberated from occupation. By establishing modern transport corridors, Azerbaijan seeks to integrate these regions into the national economy and transform the liberated lands into a logistical hub connecting regional trade routes. The rapid development of roads, tunnels, and bridges is essential for the safe return of internally displaced persons and the sustainable development of the Garabagh and East Zangazur economic regions.
