Azerbaijan is dispatching a new convoy of humanitarian aid to Iran today to support the needs of the neighboring and friendly Iranian people, following recent telephone discussions between President Ilham Aliyev and the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian.
The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the humanitarian assistance package, totaling 200 tons, consists of various food products, medicines, and medical supplies. Specifically, the shipment includes 190 tons of food products, 7 tons of essential medicines, and 3 tons of medical equipment, all transported via a convoy of 10 heavy-duty trucks.
This humanitarian initiative reflects the strengthening bilateral relations and regional cooperation between Baku and Tehran. Azerbaijan has a long-standing history of providing humanitarian support to neighboring countries during times of need, reinforcing its role as a key contributor to regional stability and solidarity in the South Caucasus and beyond.
