Police officers in Azerbaijan have been deployed in an enhanced service mode due to ongoing unstable weather conditions across the country.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Press Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) stated that police patrols are maintaining continuous service on streets and avenues to ensure the safety of citizens amid the current weather backdrop.

The movement of vehicles is being regulated by the Road Patrol Service, Post Patrol Service, and other police personnel. These units are conducting preventive educational measures with both drivers and pedestrians to mitigate risks associated with slippery roads and reduced visibility. Furthermore, operational assistance is being provided to citizens in difficult situations, ensuring they reach their destinations safely.

Currently, security measures under police supervision continue across major thoroughfares in Baku and other regions. The Ministry of Internal Affairs urges citizens to exercise caution and follow safety protocols during the period of worsened weather conditions.

In Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its subordinate agencies regularly transition to an enhanced work regime during extreme weather events or major public holidays to maintain public order and road safety. Such measures typically involve increased personnel presence in high-traffic areas and the deployment of specialized equipment to assist stranded motorists, reflecting the state's commitment to public security and civil protection.
