Azerbaijani police detained 17 individuals suspected of committing various crimes across the country on March 28, according to official reports.
The Operative Information Center-OMM was informed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs that law enforcement officers ensured the resolution of 23 crimes recorded throughout Azerbaijan, as well as one cold case from a previous period. Additionally, a total of 51 people on the wanted list were apprehended and handed over to the relevant authorities, including 28 individuals sought as debtors.
During the operations, police identified nine facts related to illegal drug trafficking and nine instances involving the discovery and seizure of illegally possessed weapons and ammunition. These measures are part of the ongoing efforts by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to maintain public order and combat organized crime within the Republic of Azerbaijan.
