The main expenditure priorities of Azerbaijan’s state budget have been prepared based on national spending priorities and the medium-term resource framework, taking into account the challenges facing budget policy and the country’s socioeconomic goals.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov made the remarks at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting chaired by him.
According to the prime minister, the main priorities for state budget spending in 2027-2030 will include supporting sustainable economic growth; continuing reconstruction, restoration and resettlement efforts in the territories liberated from occupation; strengthening defense and national security measures; and maintaining measures for social protection and social security.
Other priorities include accelerating digital development and the adoption of artificial intelligence and innovative technologies; supporting education and innovative development; improving the quality and efficiency of the healthcare system and medical services; and ensuring a clean environment and “green growth.”
These priorities reflect the government’s medium-term approach to allocating public resources among economic development, reconstruction, security, social services and technological modernization. Multi-year budget planning is intended to align state spending with Azerbaijan’s broader development objectives and emerging fiscal challenges.
