Strong winds are expected tomorrow in Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, as well as in several other regions across Azerbaijan.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the National Hydrometeorological Service has issued a yellow weather warning in response to the forecasted meteorological conditions.

The service reported that a north-westerly wind is expected in Baku and the Absheron Peninsula. Meanwhile, in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, as well as in Goranboy, Dashkasan, Naftalan, Gobustan, Gusar, Khachmaz, Siyazan, Shabran, Khizi, Yevlakh, Barda, Mingachevir, Jalilabad, Bilasuvar, Neftchala, Salyan, and Hajigabul, a south-easterly wind is anticipated. Wind speeds are projected to reach between 13.9 and 20.7 meters per second.

The National Hydrometeorological Service frequently issues such warnings to ensure public safety and to alert relevant authorities to potential hazards, such as damage to infrastructure or disruptions to transportation, caused by high-velocity winds. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions during these weather events.
