Unstable weather conditions are expected across Azerbaijan from the evening of August 30 through the morning of September 1, according to the National Hydrometeorological Service.

As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, the forecast indicates that Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will experience intermittent rain, which may become torrential at times. Thunderstorms are expected in some areas, with a high probability of intense, short-term downpours on the evening of August 31.

Across other regions of Azerbaijan, the unstable weather is forecast to persist until September 1, characterized by intermittent rainfall. In certain areas, the precipitation is expected to be intense and short-lived, accompanied by thunderstorms and the potential for hail.

Authorities have advised caution, noting that the anticipated rainfall may lead to increased water levels in rivers. There is a possibility of short-term flash floods occurring in some mountain rivers due to the heavy precipitation.

The National Hydrometeorological Service regularly monitors meteorological changes in the country to provide timely warnings to the public and relevant government agencies. These alerts are critical for disaster preparedness, particularly in mountainous regions prone to sudden hydrological changes during severe weather events.
