The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan has amended the "Nomenclature of goods for foreign economic activity, rates of import customs duties, and rates of export customs duties," originally approved by a decision dated November 17, 2017.

As reported by the Operative Information Center-OMM, Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a new decree formalizing these changes.

According to the updated decision, the import customs duty for protective masks will remain at 9 US dollars per pair until July 31, 2028. Previously, this preferential period was set to expire on June 30 of this year.

This regulatory adjustment is part of the government's ongoing efforts to ensure the availability and affordability of essential medical supplies in Azerbaijan. By extending the customs duty timeline, the Cabinet of Ministers aims to stabilize the supply chain for protective equipment, which remains a critical component of public health infrastructure and medical safety protocols within the country.
