Azerbaijan and Russia to hold inter-parliamentary meeting

The next, 25th session of the Inter-parliamentary Cooperation Commission between the Milli Majlis (National Assembly) of Azerbaijan and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation is scheduled to take place in Moscow in December 2026.

According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, this announcement was made by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov following talks with the Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, in Moscow today.

Lavrov noted that the previous session of the commission was held in Baku in June 2026. "We welcomed the dynamic development of intergovernmental relations, including at the level of the heads of government of our countries, and the active inter-parliamentary dialogue. The next session of the inter-parliamentary commission was held in Baku on June 18, and its 25th anniversary session will take place in Moscow this December," he stated.

The Inter-parliamentary Cooperation Commission serves as a key platform for legislative alignment and diplomatic dialogue between Baku and Moscow. Such meetings are instrumental in fostering bilateral cooperation, addressing regional stability, and strengthening legal frameworks that support the strategic partnership between the two nations.
