Baku hosted an expert meeting on search and rescue under the “Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan for 2026 between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the General Staff of the Italian Armed Forces.”
The Ministry of Defense provided the information to the “Operative Information Center-OMM”.
A group of Italian Armed Forces personnel traveled to Azerbaijan to take part in the meeting.
During the visit, the guests toured an Azerbaijani Air Force base, where they were briefed on aircraft in service, flight equipment, and the daily activities and service conditions of personnel.
Search-and-rescue cooperation commonly involves joint training and the exchange of technical expertise. Such cooperation can help military personnel coordinate operations and use equipment effectively in emergency situations.
