To ensure reliable security, it is important not only to combat existing threats and their consequences, but also to identify risks in advance and prevent them in a timely manner.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev made the remarks in an address to participants of the 4th Baku Security Forum.
The head of state said that strengthening mutual trust among states, developing professional ties between security agencies and improving the effectiveness of information exchange were particularly important in this regard:
“Experience shows that partnerships based on open and reliable dialogue make it possible to prevent even the most complex security challenges more swiftly and effectively.”
The Baku Security Forum brings together representatives and experts to discuss emerging security threats, prevention mechanisms and cooperation among relevant institutions. Such dialogue is aimed at strengthening international coordination and exchanging practical experience.
