Azerbaijan and Cambodia are considering opportunities to establish joint production in various sectors.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made the remarks during a joint press statement with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet.
Aliyev said the sides had also discussed prospects for developing tourism and cooperation in education.
“We also discussed today in Baku opportunities to establish joint production in various industries, develop tourism and cooperate in education. During the Soviet era, hundreds of Cambodian students studied in Azerbaijan. We believe this tradition should be revived and opportunities created for citizens of both countries to study in each other’s countries. This would also help strengthen direct ties between our peoples,” Ilham Aliyev said.
Azerbaijan has previously hosted students from Cambodia, and restoring such exchanges could help deepen educational and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
