The leaders of the separatists, whom Azerbaijan identifies as war criminals and child killers, were brought before an Azerbaijani court.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President Ilham Aliyev said this during his address at the 7th Summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
Aliyev said the trial was comparable to the Nuremberg Tribunal in its substance and form:
“Only this time, Armenian fascists sat in the dock. Those who threatened to come to Baku in tanks, occupy it and drink tea here are now drinking Azerbaijani tea in our prisons. Their tanks are on display at the Military Trophy Park.”
The president said guests could visit Victory Park, the Victory Museum and the Military Trophy Park to gain a fuller understanding of the nature and character of the occupation and the Azerbaijani people’s historic victory.
