The rapid development of artificial intelligence, digitalisation and other new solutions is creating new challenges for intellectual property systems.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev made the remarks in a message to participants of the second meeting of heads of intellectual property agencies of member states of the Organization of Turkic States.
The head of state stressed that it was especially important to make effective use of the opportunities created by technological progress while ensuring reliable protection of the rights of authors and inventors, promoting innovation and striking an optimal balance with the interests of society.
Intellectual property systems establish rules for protecting creative works and inventions. As digital technologies and artificial intelligence develop, policymakers face the challenge of adapting those rules while supporting innovation and safeguarding the rights of creators.
