490 tons of wheat transported to Armenia via Azerbaijan

A train transporting Russian-origin wheat to Armenia has departed from the Bilajari railway station, utilizing Azerbaijan as a transit route. According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a total of 490 tons of wheat, loaded into seven railcars, was dispatched today.

This shipment marks the latest in a series of transit operations facilitating the movement of goods from Russia to Armenia through Azerbaijani territory. These logistics corridors underscore Azerbaijan's role as a key transit hub in the region, connecting various international markets.

To date, significant volumes of cargo have been transported via this route, including over 29,000 tons of grain, more than 7,000 tons of fertilizer, 414 tons of anthracite, 133 tons of aluminum, and 68 tons of buckwheat. In addition to agricultural and industrial goods, Azerbaijan also facilitates the transit of petroleum products to Armenia, with exports totaling over 13,000 tons of diesel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline.
