Russia has completed the emergency evacuation of Russian specialists working at the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) in Iran. Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the operation was confirmed by Andrey Zhiltsov, the Russian Consul General in Isfahan, during an interview with the RIA Novosti news agency.

"On the morning of April 15, a multi-day, multi-stage operation for the urgent evacuation of Russian specialists involved in the construction of the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant from Iran was successfully completed," Zhiltsov stated. According to the Consul General, 108 employees left the station and traveled to Isfahan to facilitate their departure, while 20 personnel members remain at the facility to maintain essential operations.

The Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, located on Iran's Persian Gulf coast, is a critical energy project built with significant technical assistance from Russia's state atomic energy corporation, Rosatom. The facility represents a key pillar of bilateral cooperation between Moscow and Tehran. While official sources have not specified the exact reason for the sudden withdrawal of the majority of the workforce, such logistical operations often occur amid shifting security dynamics or technical adjustments in the region's industrial landscape.
