During the meeting, Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov emphasized that the relations between the two brotherly nations are successfully developing in the military sphere, mirroring the progress seen in all other areas of cooperation. Highlighting the significant role of Baykar in Turkey's defense industry, the Minister stressed the importance of further increasing joint production potential through the application of advanced technological innovations.
Selcuk Bayraktar expressed his gratitude for the hospitality and noted that such reciprocal visits have a positive impact on strengthening Azerbaijan-Turkey military and military-technical cooperation.

Azerbaijan and Turkey maintain a strategic alliance, often described by the phrase "one nation, two states." This partnership is particularly robust in the defense sector, where Turkey has played a pivotal role in modernizing the Azerbaijan Army, notably through the supply of advanced drone technology that proved decisive in the 44-day Patriotic War.
