Portugal forward Cristiano Ronaldo has been suspended for 30 days by the Portuguese Football Federation. The player will pay a 255-euro fine for leaving the team camp, Record reported.
Ronaldo left the national team camp before Portugal’s 4-2 match against Denmark in the third round of the Nations League. Head coach Jorge Jesus had previously said there was no conflict between him and the player. Reports also said Jesus had agreed to meet the forward to reconcile.
Ronaldo has played for Portugal since 2003. He won the European Championship with the national team in 2016 and is also a two-time Nations League winner.
