Germany beat Serbia 2-0 in the third round of the UEFA Nations League A League group stage. Norwegian referee Espen Eskås officiated the match at Arena Munich in Munich.
Tom Bischof opened the scoring for Germany in the 39th minute. Florian Wirtz extended the lead in the 61st minute to seal the result.
The win was Germany’s first under Jürgen Klopp. The team had previously lost 1-0 to Greece and drawn 1-1 with the Netherlands.
Germany will face Greece in the next round on October 4, while Serbia will play the Netherlands on the same day. Portugal are the reigning Nations League champions, having beaten Spain 5-3 on penalties in the final after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.
