US actor Chad Lowe and his wife, producer Kim Painter, have announced the death of their 13-year-old daughter, Fiona, saying they are “deeply heartbroken”.
In a statement to Page Six and People, the family described Fiona as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance”.
“She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives,” the statement said.
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time,” it added.
The statement also included information about the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, urging people struggling with mental health, or those who know someone who is, to call or text 988.
Chad Lowe’s acting career
Lowe, the brother of actor Rob Lowe, won an Emmy Award in 1993 for his role in the television series “Life Goes On”. He has also appeared in programmes including “Pretty Little Liars” and “Supergirl”.
Chad Lowe and Painter also have daughters Mabel, 17, and Nixie, 10.
