Yemen’s Defense Ministry said Monday that government forces had carried out 356 operations against Houthi targets over the previous 24 hours, killing or wounding 476 members of the group and destroying command centers, weapons depots and military vehicles.
The announcement was made in a statement by armed forces spokesman Col. Majid al-Nuzaili, posted on “X”, the US social media company formerly known as “Twitter”.
The statement said the forces had conducted precision strikes against what it called Houthi reinforcements and military capabilities across 10 fronts, stretching from the far north to the western coast, south and central parts of the country.

The areas identified by the ministry included the western coast; Haradh and nearby al-Tuwal in northwestern Hajjah province; Kitaf, al-Baqa and Alb in northern Saada province; northeastern al-Jawf; eastern Marib; southern Lahj; southwestern Taiz; and central al-Bayda.
According to the statement, the operations left 476 Houthi members dead or wounded and destroyed command and control centers, weapons depots and field artillery. A number of military vehicles were also destroyed or damaged, it said.
The ministry accused the Houthis of using civilians as human shields and of turning schools into command centers, weapons depots and military supply facilities.
The Houthis had not immediately commented on the ministry’s statement.
Yemen conflict
Yemen has been embroiled in conflict since the Houthis seized Sanaa and several provinces in 2014. A Saudi-led coalition intervened in 2015 in support of Yemen’s internationally recognized government.
Fighting intensified in September, when the Houthis took control of several key areas in Al-Hudaydah and Taiz provinces, including the strategic city of Mokha, and reached Mayyun Island overlooking the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.
