Traffic congestion has been reported on several major roads across Baku, impacting commuters during peak hours.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the Intelligent Transport Management Center (ITMC) has released an official update regarding the current density on the capital's thoroughfares.
As of the latest report, traffic density is being observed in the following locations:
- Baku-Sumgait highway, in the direction of the "20 January" metro station;
- Ali Mustafayev Street, in the direction of Ziya Bunyadov Avenue;
- Heydar Aliyev Avenue, main road, in the direction of the city center;
- Mikayil Mushfig Street, from the "Badamdar" circle towards the School-Lyceum No. 20;
- Yusif Safarov Street, in the direction of the city center;
- Ziya Bunyadov Avenue, from the intersection with Muzaffar Narimanov Street towards the "20 January" metro station;
- Tbilisi Avenue, from the "20 January" metro station towards the city center.
The Intelligent Transport Management Center, which operates under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, is responsible for monitoring traffic flow across the capital using advanced surveillance and signal control systems. These updates are provided regularly to assist drivers in planning their routes and avoiding areas of high congestion, which are common in Baku due to the city's ongoing urban development and increasing vehicle numbers.
