Portugal beat Norway 2-1 in the fourth round of the 2026/2027 UEFA Nations League A. AC Milan forward Gonçalo Ramos scored in the 79th minute to give his team the win.
Norway took the lead through Ajer in the 36th minute. Joao Cancelo equalised two minutes later, before Ramos scored Portugal’s winner late in the match. Francisco Conceição was sent off in the 86th minute.
Speaking to UEFA’s official website, Ramos said the winning goal reflected the work he had been doing at both club and national-team level. He said scoring goals was especially important for forwards, while adding that he also sought to help the team in other aspects of the game.
The Portuguese player said working with head coach Jorge Jesus was not new for the team, and that players who had previously played under his system had found it easier to adapt. Ramos added that the team was improving from match to match and that his goal had been well executed.
After four matches, Portugal lead Group 4 with 12 points. Denmark have six points, while Norway and Wales have three each. Norway sit fourth in the group.
