Portugal defeated Norway 2-1 in Group A4 of the UEFA Nations League. The fourth-round match in Porto ended in the hosts’ favor, giving Portugal its fourth consecutive win in the competition.
Kristoffer Ajer opened the scoring for Norway in the 36th minute. Joao Cancelo equalized for Portugal two minutes later, and Gonçalo Ramos scored the winning goal in the 79th minute. The hosts finished the match with 10 players after Chico Conceição was sent off.
Portugal played its second match without Cristiano Ronaldo. He was an unused substitute in the first meeting with Norway on September 27 and later left the national team camp before the match against Denmark.
With 12 points, Portugal has secured qualification from the group and a place in the quarter-finals ahead of schedule. Portugal will host Denmark on November 14, while Norway will face Wales at home.
