A bomb threat was reported on Friday at Chisinau International Airport in Moldova’s capital, the Moldovan Border Police said.
Border police officers intervened to evacuate passengers and airport staff, while specialised units from the Interior Ministry were heading to the scene, according to the statement.
Check-in procedures were suspended, and scheduled flights could be subject to changes. Passengers were advised to check their flight status on the airport’s online information board.
The Border Police said further details would be provided as they became available.
