A 23-year-old man has drowned in the Caspian Sea near the Bilgah settlement in the Khazar district of Baku. The incident occurred in an uncontrolled area known as "Dachnik," located approximately 3 kilometers away from the nearest lifeguard station.
This information was provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM by the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES).
The Ministry confirmed that divers and rescue teams from the State Service for Control over Small Vessels and Water Rescue have been deployed to the scene to conduct search operations.
Search efforts are currently underway in the areas where the victim, identified as Rahman Mazahim oglu Amirov, born in 2003, is presumed to have drowned.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations frequently urges citizens to swim only in designated areas where lifeguard services are active and to adhere to safety regulations, particularly during the summer season when the number of visitors to the Caspian coast increases significantly. Uncontrolled zones often lack necessary safety infrastructure, posing significant risks to swimmers.
