US President Donald Trump will host prominent technology executives on Tuesday and unveil America.gov, an artificial intelligence-powered federal platform intended to help citizens access government services.
Trump will announce the initiative at 10 a.m. local time (1400 GMT) during an address at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, according to Anadolu Agency. He will later hold a closed-press meeting on artificial intelligence at the White House at 12:30 p.m.
The scheduled luncheon attendees include Anthropic Chief Executive Dario Amodei, Meta Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg and OpenAI President Greg Brockman, alongside US House Speaker Mike Johnson, NBC News reported, citing corporate and White House sources. Palantir CEO Alex Karp is also expected to attend, CNN reported.
Anadolu Agency said it had contacted the White House for further details.
Debate over AI regulation
The high-level talks come as debate intensifies over whether federal regulators should impose limits on the pace at which artificial intelligence models are developed.
Trump has repeatedly rejected calls to slow AI development, instead advocating faster construction of data centers and unrestricted technological expansion.
“Whoever wins AI, wins,” Trump said while rejecting proposals to limit the pace of development. He has argued that the United States must maintain its technological lead over global competitors, particularly China.
