Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has addressed recent reports regarding the health of the country's supreme leader, dismissing concerns about his well-being.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, the minister stated in an interview with Al Jazeera that the supreme leader is in full health and maintains complete control over the country's affairs.
Araghchi emphasized that there is no basis for concern regarding the leader's medical condition:
the minister noted, adding that the leader continues to carry out his official responsibilities without interruption."According to the information I have, he only sustained minor injuries and is currently in full health,"
The statement follows reports from Reuters suggesting that the supreme leader has maintained a defiant stance against the United States and Israel, showing no intention of de-escalating regional tensions. Sources indicated that his position toward these nations remains "very harsh and serious," with a continued focus on retaliatory measures.
This clarification comes amid heightened regional tensions and frequent international speculation regarding the leadership stability in Tehran. In the Iranian political system, the supreme leader holds ultimate authority over all state matters, including foreign policy and the armed forces, making his physical condition a subject of significant geopolitical interest for both regional neighbors and global powers.
