A new shipment of petroleum products sent from Azerbaijan to Armenia has reached the Bilejari station from the Baku Freight Station and is currently moving toward the Boyuk Kasik station.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, citing Report, a total of 1,746 tons of AI-95 grade gasoline loaded into 25 wagons will be delivered to the Boyuk Kasik station in the Aghstafa district by a freight train belonging to Azerbaijan Railways CJSC (ADY). The cargo will subsequently be transported to Armenia via transit through the territory of Georgia.

This logistical operation follows a landmark decision signed by President Ilham Aliyev in October, which lifted long-standing restrictions on the transit of goods from Azerbaijan to Armenia that had been in place since the period of occupation. The restoration of these transport links is seen as a significant step toward regional economic integration and the normalization of logistical corridors in the South Caucasus.

The resumption of fuel transit highlights Azerbaijan's growing role as a central energy and logistics hub in the region. By utilizing its extensive railway infrastructure, Azerbaijan continues to facilitate international trade routes, including the Middle Corridor, which connects Europe and Asia. This specific shipment underscores the practical implementation of peace-building measures and the opening of regional communications following the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity.
