Two missiles launched by the Houthi group targeted Aden International Airport in southern Yemen early Wednesday, according to local security authorities.
The media office of the Aden Security Department said no casualties had been reported. Yemeni media outlets earlier published footage showing explosions during the attack.
The strike comes as fighting intensifies, with Yemeni government forces advancing under Operation “Dawn of Yemen.”
Government forces said Tuesday they had seized a key mountain peak in western Taiz after clashes with the Houthis.
Rashad al-Alimi, chairman of Yemen’s Presidential Leadership Council, announced the operation on Monday. He said it aims to retake the capital, Sanaa, and restore state institutions from Houthi control.
