President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev concluded his state visit to Georgia on April 6.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a guard of honor was lined up in honor of the head of state at the Shota Rustaveli International Airport in Tbilisi, decorated with the national flags of both nations.
President Ilham Aliyev was seen off at the airport by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze and other high-ranking officials. During the visit, the leaders discussed the further strengthening of strategic ties, regional security, and the implementation of joint energy and transport projects that link the South Caucasus to European markets.
Azerbaijan and Georgia maintain a strategic partnership characterized by close cooperation in political, economic, and humanitarian spheres. As key components of the Middle Corridor, both countries play a vital role in international logistics and energy security, particularly through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and the Southern Gas Corridor. This visit underscores the commitment of Baku and Tbilisi to maintaining regional stability and fostering deeper integration within the Caucasus region.
