Qatar's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, emphasized the importance of a "peaceful resolution" to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East during a telephone conversation with his Spanish counterpart, Jose Manuel Albares, warning of the "serious consequences" of military escalation.

The Operative Information Center-OMM reports that the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs shared details of the discussion on its official X account. According to the ministry, both officials reiterated the necessity of halting "unjust aggression against Qatar and other countries in the region."

The Qatari Foreign Minister further highlighted the importance of strengthening joint efforts, returning to the negotiating table to resolve the crisis, and ensuring global energy security. The discussion also touched upon the protection of freedom of navigation, environmental safety, and the maintenance of regional stability. For his part, Albares expressed Spain's solidarity with Qatar, stressing the urgency of de-escalating tensions and protecting civilian infrastructure and energy sector assets.

The diplomatic exchange comes amid heightened regional tensions that have increasingly threatened international maritime routes and energy supply chains. Qatar continues to play a pivotal role as a mediator in regional disputes, leveraging its diplomatic ties to promote stability in the Gulf and broader Middle East. These discussions reflect a growing international consensus on the need for multilateral cooperation to prevent further military escalation and safeguard global economic interests.
