This growth in nominal wages reflects the ongoing economic stabilization and social welfare policies implemented by the Cabinet of Ministers. Over the past few years, Azerbaijan has focused on diversifying its economy beyond the oil and gas sector, encouraging growth in the private sector which now accounts for more than half of the salaried workforce. These statistical indicators serve as a key metric for the country's labor market health and the purchasing power of the population in the capital, Baku, and the regions.
