A freight train consisting of 25 wagons carrying Russian grain to Armenia has departed from the Bilajari railway station, transiting through the territory of Azerbaijan.
Operative Information Center-OMM reports that on February 1, 25 wagons loaded with grain, with a total weight of 1,746 tons, were dispatched from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijani transit routes. The cargo is scheduled to pass through Georgia before reaching its final destination at the Dalarik station in Armenia.
According to official data, this shipment is part of an ongoing transit arrangement. To date, a total of 285 grain wagons, amounting to approximately 19,900 tons of wheat, have been transported from Russia to Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan. This transit route highlights Azerbaijan's strategic role as a regional transportation and logistics hub, facilitating the movement of essential goods across the South Caucasus through its extensive railway infrastructure.
