Another shipment of goods from Russia to Armenia has been successfully transported via transit through Azerbaijan.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, a train consisting of 11 rail cars carrying 770 tons of wheat departed today from the Bilajari station, heading toward the Boyuk Kasik direction.
To date, the total volume of goods transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijani territory includes more than 34,000 tons of grain, nearly 8,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, 68 tons of buckwheat, and 414 tons of anthracite. Additionally, over 14,000 tons of diesel fuel and approximately 5,000 tons of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline have been exported through these transit routes.
The use of Azerbaijani transit infrastructure for regional logistics highlights the country's growing role as a key transport hub in the South Caucasus. By facilitating these shipments, Azerbaijan continues to demonstrate its commitment to international transport corridors and regional connectivity, adhering to established logistical agreements that support trade flows between neighboring states.
