Azerbaijan currently exports military-grade products to approximately 20 countries, reflecting the rapid expansion of the nation's defense industry.

According to Operative Information Center-OMM, Prime Minister Ali Asadov made these remarks while presenting the government's report on activities for 2025 to the Milli Majlis (National Assembly).

The Prime Minister emphasized that defense and national security expenditures have been significantly increased in the 2025 state budget to ensure the country's continued stability. "This demonstrates that ensuring our country's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security remains one of the primary priorities of state policy. To this end, 8.1 billion manats have been allocated from the 2025 state budget for defense and national security, which is 1.5 billion manats or 23% more compared to 2024," Prime Minister Ali Asadov stated.

The Prime Minister further noted that military products worth 1.4 billion manats were manufactured last year. He stressed that given the current geopolitical conditions, it is of vital importance to maintain these results, strengthen security, increase defense capabilities, ensure the inviolability of borders, and protect national interests.

In recent years, Azerbaijan has significantly transformed its defense industry from a domestic supplier to a competitive international exporter. Following the restoration of its territorial integrity, the Republic of Azerbaijan has focused on the localized production of advanced weaponry, including unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), armored vehicles, and various ammunition types. This strategic shift not only enhances Azerbaijan's self-reliance but also strengthens its position as a key security actor in the South Caucasus region.
