Azerbaijan's Defense Minister, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov, is currently on an official visit to Serbia.

According to the visit program, Zakir Hasanov held a meeting with his Serbian counterpart, Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić. During the discussions, the two officials exchanged views on the current state and future development prospects of military, military-technical, and military-educational cooperation between Azerbaijan and Serbia. The talks also covered regional security issues and other topics of mutual interest.
It should be noted that as part of the visit, the Defense Minister is scheduled to attend the "High-Level Observer Day" of the "Platinum Wolf - 2026" international tactical exercise, which is being held near the city of Bujanovac, Serbia.
Azerbaijan and Serbia maintain a strategic partnership, with defense cooperation serving as a key pillar of bilateral relations. The exchange of high-level visits and participation in joint military exercises underscores the growing ties between the two nations, particularly in the defense industry and security sectors, reflecting a shared commitment to regional stability.
