Azerbaijan's new ambassador to Kazakhstan, Alimirzamin Asgarov, has officially presented his credentials to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The ceremony took place at the Independence Palace in Astana.
According to the Operative Information Center-OMM, citing the Akorda, the diplomat formally submitted his credentials to the head of state. During the same ceremony, ambassadors from Moldova, Vietnam, the Republic of Korea, South Africa, Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, and Namibia also presented their credentials.
President Tokayev emphasized Kazakhstan's commitment to a peaceful foreign policy, highlighting the nation's dedication to strengthening global peace, security, and cooperation. He reaffirmed Kazakhstan's interest in deepening multifaceted relations with the represented countries. It is worth noting that President Ilham Aliyev appointed Alimirzamin Asgarov to this position on July 28, succeeding Agalar Atamoglanov. Prior to this appointment, Asgarov served as the head of the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission in Tajikistan.
