More than 55,000 students across Azerbaijan participated in the general (9-year) secondary education graduation exams today. In a statement provided to the Operative Information Center-OMM, officials noted that 240 exam buildings and 4,171 halls were allocated for the process. To manage the examinations, 926 supervisors, 5,197 proctors, and 731 security officers were deployed. Special arrangements were made for 79 students with physical disabilities to ensure an inclusive environment. While 55,282 students were expected to participate, one individual was disqualified after being found with a mobile phone. For remote locations, such as the school on Chilov Island, exam materials and personnel were transported via a helicopter provided by the Azneft Production Union.
The graduation exams for the 9th-grade level are a fundamental part of the national education system in Azerbaijan, serving as a benchmark for students transitioning to the next stage of their academic or vocational careers. The State Examination Center, which oversees centralized testing to maintain transparency and standards, confirmed that the processing of answer sheets will begin on April 27. Due to the detailed evaluation required for open-ended questions, the final results are expected to be announced within the next six weeks. Correct answers for the closed-ended tests will be made available on the official SEC website tomorrow.
